People And Companions Kept · A Massachusetts nonprofit

Go get well. We’ll look after the dog.

Too many people put off detox because no one can take their pet. Reset PACK matches people entering treatment with vetted volunteer foster homes, covers the basics, and reunites them when they come home.

Need treatment now? Call the SAMHSA National Helpline, 1-800-662-4357. Free, confidential, 24 hours a day.

You go to treatment. Your pet goes to a foster family.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them cost you anything.

You, a family member, or your treatment team can start the process. And one honest thing up front: being apart from your pet during treatment is hard. Our job is to make that separation short, safe, and worth it.

  1. 01

    Reach out

Tell us about you and your pet before or during intake. We keep everything confidential, including the fact that you called at all.

  2. 02

    We match and hand off

A screened volunteer foster takes your pet in. We cover food and supplies, handle vet needs, and send you updates while you're in treatment.

  3. 03

    You reunite

When you're discharged and settled, your pet comes home. If you need a little more time in sober living, we work with you.

Matches usually take a few days to arrange, so reach out as early as you can — before intake is perfect. Everything you tell us stays confidential.

Programs

One job: keep people and their pets together.

Everything we do supports a single promise — your pet is safe, fed, and waiting for you on the other side of treatment.

Food, Supplies & Vet Care

Fosters never pay out of pocket and neither do you. Food, beds, leashes, litter, and routine vet visits are covered for the whole placement, funded by donations.

Reunion & Extra Time

When you’re discharged and settled, we bring your pet home. Moving into sober living first? Extensions are normal, and we plan for them — a few extra weeks should never cost anyone their pet.

Built into every placement

Our promises

Your pet stays yours. Always.

Fostering only works if you can trust it completely. So before any placement starts, every promise goes in writing — in plain English, not fine print.

“The bond doesn’t break. It just gets a little longer for a while.”

What we promise every owner

  • Your pet stays yours — full ownership, always
  • Food, supplies, and vet care covered
  • A screened, vetted volunteer foster home
  • Updates while you're in treatment
  • No cost, no judgment, no strings
  • A planned reunion the day you're ready
Sulita Feinblum, founder of Reset PACK

From the founder

“No one should have to choose between getting well and the friend who never left their side.”

Sulita started Reset PACK after watching that exact choice stop people at the door of treatment. The fix is not complicated: a safe place for the animal, a little practical help, and a promise that the pack reunites. That’s the whole idea, and it’s in the name. PACK stands for People And Companions Kept.

Get involved

This works because neighbors show up.

Every placement takes one foster home, a bag of food, and a community that decided recovery is worth protecting.

Whether you have a spare room, a few dollars, or a client who needs us — there’s a way in. Pick your lane.

Ways to help

  • 01
    Foster a pet

Open your home for a few weeks. We cover supplies and stay on call the whole time.

  • 02
    Give

Fund vet visits, food, and supplies. Every dollar keeps a pet safe while their person gets well.

  • 03
    Refer a client

Treatment programs, sober homes, and outreach teams: let’s build a referral path for your intake process.

  • 04
    Spread the word

Tell one person who needs to hear this exists. That’s often how a placement starts.

Where we are

Brand new, and building it right.

Reset PACK is a young Massachusetts nonprofit. Our first foster homes are being screened, our 501(c)(3) application is pending, and our pilot is taking shape right now. If you reach out today, a real person answers — and we’ll tell you honestly what we can do for you and when.

Want to be part of the launch? This is the best moment to show up. Foster homes and early donors shape what this becomes.

Questions people actually ask

The fine print, in plain English.

Straight answers, because trust is the whole point. If your question isn’t here, write to us and a person will answer.

Do I give up ownership of my pet?

No. Your pet stays yours the entire time. We take temporary custody only to coordinate care, and everything is written down in a simple agreement before the placement starts.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Food, supplies, and needed vet care during the placement are covered by the program, funded by donations. If you ever want to give back later, we won't say no, but it is never a condition of help.

Is my situation kept private?

Yes. Fosters and volunteers sign confidentiality agreements and are never told your treatment details. Photos we share publicly never identify you.

What animals do you take?

Dogs and cats to start, matched to fosters with the right setup. We'll grow to small animals as our foster network grows. If we can't help directly, we'll help you find someone who can.

What happens if I need more time?

Talk to us. Extensions are normal, and we plan for them. Recovery has its own timeline, and a few extra weeks in sober living should never cost anyone their pet.

Need help right now?

You don’t have to figure this out alone.
